Mar 22, 7:00pm

The family-run craft beer, wine and spirits shop, Bottles & Cans, has teamed up with local reclaimed-wood furniture and custom-sign company, Antwique Shop, and Goose Island Beer Co. to host a ‘Brushes & Brews’ art pop-up class in their Lincoln Square shop on Wednesday, March 22 from 7pm – 9pm. In the spirit of celebrating ‘all things local’Antique Shop founder, Kyle Wilson, will teach Chicagoans how to hand-paint the Chicago Flag onto a 13x19 piece of locally-sourced, recycled wood—or guests can opt to paint bottles in lieu of stars if they’re feeling adventurous! Goose Island will be handing out complimentary, seasonal beer samples during the painting session and wine sampling by Bottles & Cans. Reservations are $40 per person (inclusive of all materials, beer samples + tax) and must be made in advance by calling: 773-857-2270. About Antwique Shop Antwique Shop is a custom, reclaimed-wood furniture company founded in 2013 by local Chicago artisan, Kyle Wilson, with the hope of using his hands, creativity and enthusiasm to make a difference in his community. By salvaging scrap materials and antique wood otherwise destined for landfills, he makes a few tweaks, and strives to turn something forgotten into something treasured, solid and enduring. He specializes in custom, reclaimed-wood furniture and recycled wooden art and signs. www.antwiqueshop.com

So there's this marketing campaign for Indio in Mexico with the labels for the 12 oz. bottles having different designs referencing historic neighborhoods in cities all over Mexico. Today I saw this one, apparently the labels for the big 32 oz. bottles reference Mexican neighborhoods in cities all over the US. Cheers! ... See MoreSee Less

Carlos LermaClear reference to Little Village in Pilsen! I like the campaign and would love to keep it as a reference to my heritage and my new home for the last 3 years: Chicago.
